If you are a smoker that decided to start vaping, you’re likely to have a lot of questions. Don’t panic! The Vuse blog team is here to help!
What do I need to buy to start vaping?
You basically only need two things: a vaping device and some eLiquid or a flavour cartridge to put in it. The device turns the eLiquid into vapour, so you can inhale it.
At Vuse, we make different vaping devices, which have slightly different characteristics. Some of them are ‘closed systems’, like the Vuse ePen 3. With these you just pop in a pre-filled flavour cartridge. Others are ‘open systems’, like the eTank Pro 2, which means you pour the eLiquid into a small tank called a clearomiser. Some devices are more powerful than others and they come in all different shapes and sizes. Click here to find out which one is right for you.
Once you’ve chosen your device, you just need to pick which flavour you want to try first.
Okay, I’ve got my device and some eLiquid. What do I do now?
Charge up your device, pop in the flavour cartridge or fill the tank with your eLiquid, and start vaping! All our devices come partly charged straight out of the box, but you must give yours a full charge.
So where can I vape?
There is currently no law on where you can and cannot vape. You’ll almost certainly find that all public spaces – from restaurants and offices, to train platforms and bus stops – have their own policies about vaping. Similarly, some people don’t mind you vaping in their house, while others would rather you didn’t vape in their car. The best advice we can offer is that you should always check what the vaping policy is wherever you are.
What’s in the vapour?
Vapour is vaporised eLiquid – which basically means eLiquid turned into steam by a heating element in the vaping device called an atomiser. Vuse eLiquids are made mainly from a combination of propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG)and water. Some of our eLiquids also contain nicotine and flavourings, depending which one you choose.
Just one more thing – a vaper I know was talking about ‘cloud chasing’. What’s that?
Cloud chasing is a vaper’s term for blowing large vapour clouds. There’s a fair amount of terminology in the vaping world, so if you come across any terms you aren’t familiar with, take a look at our comprehensive Vaping Glossary.
